Songwriting and Home Recording

Well howdy!  I figured I would give this blogging a try.  For those out of the loop, my country band, Chris Salyer & the Shooters, went on a brief hiatus this summer while Ben recovered from having a pretty bad heart attack.  I've spent that time off playing lots of solo shows, spending time with my family, going to shows (WCOL Country Jam was a blast), and writing new music.  I had the pleasure of debuting two new songs (tentatively titled "May You Never Go to Hell" and "Drink til its Our Last Call") at my show a few weeks back at Doc's Big City Saloon.  They were very well received and will sound awesome with the full band.  I recently purchased an Audiobox USB Interface and some recording software to try my hand at some home recordings.  We have plans to get a record out soon and ship some new songs off to publishers.  Stay tuned...
